Copycat Sarkozy
And you thought it was shameless for Benjamin Netanyahu to blatantly copy Obama’s website. Now Sarkozy is ripping off the Shepard Fairey posters. I guess it’s fair play since Obama didn’t exactly invent “Yes we can.”

Um, I don’t think Sarkozy himself is “ripping off” Obabma’s Sherpard Fairey posters (which are rip-offs themselves, id venture to say) since the poster is, in fact, poking fun at Sarko.
If you translate the entire phrase with the french above it says “Pay the companies that pollute? Yes We Can!”
So, it seems this poster is made by someone who wants to point out hypocrisy in Sarko’s environmental policies.
I always thought it was funny that Obama co-opted the Si Se Puede of the United Farm Workers, even early in the primaries when Hillary had the UFW’s endorsement and not him!

Actually, I am pretty sure “faire payer” means “make them pay for” The idea being companies that pollute would have to be responsible for it. I actually think these posters are for real–hence the “menteur” scribble across each one from a pedestrian qui n’etait pas d’accord.
