Dear Fellow Commuter…
I don’t know if this website will improve the behavior of people traveling on public transportation in Paris. But it’s fun to read the messages from commuters to their fellow straphangers (to misuse a New York Post term) regarding rudeness, littering, and other infractions of common manners.
“I know your life isn’t all that exciting, but could you stop reading my texts as I write them?”
“Yes, you are pregnant–congratulations. But is that a reason to insult me if I’m deep into reading and book and I don’t see you?”
“I would appreciate it if you would not consider the pole to be your personal back support, since I have no desire to touch you or your clothing.”
Anyone is able to add a missive, and the letters include the specific lines of transport and even the particular stops. (Thanks to Rue Rude for the tip.)
