Even though my sewing talent isn’t up to snuff  (yet..), I do get a craft high just walking into the Parisian fabric stores. Last weekend my friend and I discovered the mother ship of French sewing houses: Tissus Reine. If there’s anything I like about tackling a new hobby, it’s all the “equipment” that goes along with it. Par exemple, take a look at this convo between me and, mon mari, M. Frank regarding his favorite French winter sport…

M. Frank: Linds, want to go skiing next weekend?
Linds: Mmm, I don’t like the cold. No thank you.
M. Frank: You won’t be cold, promise! We’ll get you outfitted with winter gear.
Linds: Gear, gear, who said gear? (like a dog going after a biscuit) OK, I’m in.
The next day I was at Go Sport trying on ski goggles and snow pants. I’m a sucker for the gear and sewing is no different.
