For Once, Paris Isn't Alone in Protests
My friend, Paris-based photographer Danielle Voirin, took this photo of the manifestation in Paris yesterday and sent me this email:
“Among the estimated 25,000 people who on Saturday in Paris protested Israel’s offensive against Palestine, a young woman held a sign pleading in French, “Save Gaza.” Along the route, chanting alternated between “We are all Palestinians!,” “Israel assassins, Europe accomplice!,” and “In the heart of Gaza, in the heart of Palestine, it’s humanity we’re killing!” Protests were held in several French cities as well as in Britain, Germany, Greece, Ireland, Italy, the Netherlands and Spain.”
