Getting a Rise out of Sarkozy
Michelle Obama has caught a lot of flack in France for the way she was dressed in this particular photo, some sites going so far as to show her in curlers and fuzzy slippers. Oscar de la Renta is also apparently up in arms because the First Lady seems to be ’shunning’ the big name designers in favor of brands like J. Crew. (I, personally, give mad props to a First Lady who shops at stores I do and is doing her part to keep the American economy running.)
The best tabloid moment during Obama’s trip to Strasbourg, however, (and way under-covered in France) is clearly this remarkable photo showing President Sarkozy’s insecurity about his height. Come on, Nicolas, if you’re married to a model, you’re asking for it.
