Gwyneth Paltrow’s Paris

We all love to laugh at celebrity vanity projects, but Gwyneth Paltrow’s GOOP website is irreproachable. So I trust her recommendations for a trip to Paris–it’s not all four-star restaurants and stolls down the Champs-Elysees. Her first trip to the City of Light was with her father:

On the plane back to London he asked me if I knew why we had gone, just he and I, to Paris for the weekend. I said no, but I felt so lucky for the trip. He said, “I wanted you to see Paris for the first time with a man who would always love you, no matter what.”

Aw. Among Gwynnie’s recommendations: eat at Da Mimmo for Italian, Kinugawa for Japanese. Sadly, there are no shopping tips.

My Dear, I absolutely ADORE this post. What a beautiful, precious gift she received from her father. How utterly romantic. Ahhhhh, Paris.

Did anyone notice her suggestions were all about the Left Bank, and no further than the 6th for most of them. I don’t think there was anything real about her tips.

This is why we romance writers write. Just beautiful. This post captures the essence of romance to a ‘T’
