Luke Shepard, a former student at The American University of Paris, made waves last year with Le Flâneur, a time-lapse video composed of over 2,000 photos that went viral almost instantaneously. Inspired by his late night walks across the city, when the streets are eerily silent and free of people, Shepard’s video highlights a side of Paris that few of us, particularly tourists, have the opportunity to experience. Without the usual heaving crowds around monuments and museums, the city’s bounty comes alive and Le Flâneur captured it perfectly.
Flush with new energy and equipped with better software and technique, Shepard is aiming higher with his new video project, NightVision. Set entirely at night, the short film will explore prominent landmarks across over twenty countries in Europe and take viewers on a stunning visual journey.
