Paris: Visit the City of Love!

It’s known as the City of Love, and as countless movies have proven, Paris really is the perfect place to watch romance blossom. It’s also full of romantic sights and attractions, making it the ideal place to whisk that special someone off to. Whether you’re looking for the perfect setting to pop the question or just fancy a romantic weekend away, enjoy a loved-up break to remember with our guide to the most romantic attractions in Paris. Even if romance doesn’t blossom, you’ll fall in love with the city!

Kiss Under the Pont Marie

A romantic cruise along the Seine is a must on any romantic break to Paris, and attractions don’t come much more romantic than the Pont Marie. Known as ‘the bridge of lovers’, be sure to steal a kiss and make a wish for eternal love as you pass under it, as legend has it that if you do your wish will be granted. So make sure your relationship stands the test of time, and hop on a bateau-mouche, to seal it with a kiss.

The Eiffel Tower

It might be a cliché, but it wouldn’t be a romantic trip to Paris without a visit to the Eiffel Tower. While the other tourists flock to the top, you should pay a visit to the Jules Verne restaurant on the first floor, where you can enjoy delicious French cuisine to accompany the views. If you’re on a tight budget, take a picnic to the bottom of the tower and enjoy it all lit up at night.

Jardin du Luxembourg

Visiting the grounds of the French Senate might not seem like the most romantic way to spend a day, but its famous gardens have inspired lovers for generations. Famous couples including Napoleon and Josephine as well as Jean-Paul Sartre and Simone de Beauvoir were especially fond of the gardens. Today it’s still a favourite spot for couples, and you can enjoy a stroll amongst the statues, fountains and flowerbeds.

There’s nothing more romantic than a new piece of jewellery or a new handbag, so head to the most famous street in Paris – the Champs-Élysées – where you can shop until you drop. Stretching from the Arc de Triomphe to the Place de la Concorde, it’s known as the most beautiful restaurant in the world and there are plenty of restaurants and theatres located here, as well as designer stores. Even if you don’t buy anything, it’s still the perfect place to stroll hand in hand with that special someone. Designer handbags don’t come cheap though, so visit and make some great savings on your holiday to Paris.

Stroll Around Montmartre

There’s romance lurking around every corner in Paris, so there’s nothing better than just letting your feet guide you. Montmartre is one of the prettiest areas in Paris, and due to its location on a hill in the north, you can enjoy some breath-taking views of the city. Wander through the cafes, shops and narrow winding streets while you soak up the quaint village atmosphere!

Again…sponsored post? Shopping on the champs? This really isn’t up to your usual standards.

the reality is that the blog would not exist without occasional ads. It pays for the domain name and other costs.

I understand but perhaps these should be labelled as such?
