The World’s Largest Antiques Market

Les Puces de St. Ouen–ala Clignancourt–is the largest antique and flea market in the world, with more than 2500 vendors, sprawling across 17 acres on the edge of the city. 120,000 to 150,000 people arrive every weekend searching for treasures. The market officially started in 1885 but before that, scrap metal and rag and bone men sold their wares. The first antique stalls were set up in 1920 by Romain Vernaison on a 9000-meter plot of land bordering rue de Voltaire, rue de Rosiers, and Ave. Michelet. Other markets followed in later years including the Biron, Paul Bert, and Jules Valles.

Les Puces de St. Ouen is open Saturday 9AM to 6PM, Sunday 10AM to 6PM and Monday 11AM to 5PM.
