Creative people are respected and protected in France, and this is evident nowhere more than at the Ici et Demain festival. Every year, in an effort to give encouragement and audience to young, up-and-coming student performers and artists, Ici et Demain gives those artists performance space and opportunity to show us what they’ve got. Best of all – every single event is free.
With over 40 performances, concerts, exhibitions, installations and projections happening in March throughout Paris, you’ll have no trouble finding something new and interesting to check out. Discover a video installation by Peter & Steven or a theatrical performance by Les Compagnons Butineurs. Personally, I’d love to see Cuban cellist/chanteuse Ana Carla Maza perform her beautiful and haunting songs in person.
